Admission Requirements
New student are required to fill the school’s admission form, this can be gotten from the school’s front desk. All completed form should be submitted to the school, together with the child’s immunization card (for the preschool), birth certificate and evidence of payment teller.
Each day the children have a fun time together around the table at snack or lunch times. These times teach patience, manners, independence, language development and nutrition.
Snack time is at 9:30am, children are expected to bring their own snacks. Due to allergies, we ask that you read the labels carefully on any item you might be considering. Snack time is a group activity that involves children, teachers and assistance seated together at the table and is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn by example.
We believe that a healthy diet is of the highest value for any child or adult. The school provides nutritious
and healthy lunch at 12:00 pm at a cost to parent, water is the only drink provided. Children are encouraged to drink water throughout the day.
The School uniform for the pre-school is a polo/T shirt of different colours, (green, yellow, red, and white).
For the primary is a blue T/shirt and grey trouser for the boys and blue T/shirt, grey skirt and a black panty hose for the girls. And a set of sportswear for both for both the pre-school and the primary.
Children are expected to come to school in their school uniform from Mondays-Thursdays, and their sportswear on Fridays.
We believe that parents are their child’s first and most enduring educators. Parental involvement for both mums and dads, is encouraged throughout life at Nursery and opportunities are planned for parents to be included in activities such as presentations, reading and listening to stories or participating in artwork sessions. We ask that arrangement be made in advance with the teacher so plans can be made to utilize parent availability.
Our goal is to help each child feel secure in a nurturing environment as an extension of the security of the home and family. Safety policies and procedures govern all areas ranging from collection of children, maintenance of fixtures and equipment to general safety around the school.
We provide After School Care for working and busy mothers. After School Care runs from 2:00p.m to 5:00p.m everyday, at a cost to parents. Children sleep for an hour after school and then are engaged in stimulating, creative and constructive play while learning along.
We operate an open door policy where teachers and the head teacher are available to parents to discuss
quick issues affecting their children and school. Matters requiring more time with staff can be scheduled at the reception for the earliest available time.
Our discipline is age appropriate. It often takes the form of a gentle reminder or redirection. Choices are
offered encouraging children to make appropriate decisions and to take responsibility for their actions. Time-outs are used for limited time periods. We encourage a joint effort between the family and school if the above form of discipline is not working.
